The UTRGV School of Medicine Department of Family Medicine seeks a Board-Certified physician in Family Medicine with experience in teaching residents both in the inpatient and outpatient clinical setting and in the classroom. In addition, chosen applicant will participate in direct patient care, scholarly activity, faculty development, patient safety, and quality improvement initiatives, prepare and provide didactics, participate in the evaluation of residents and the program. Administrating and maintaining a professional educational environment conducive to educating residents in ACGME competencies is essential.

Interested applicants must possess an MD, DO, or equivalent degree from an ACGME accredited institution and have or be eligible for a Texas medical license. Board Certification in Family Medicine is required, 3 years of experience in a GME-Accredited program to include at least 3 years of documented educational and/or administrative experience. Academic rank and salary are commensurate with experience and academic credentials.
