Family Practice - Position: Physician | MD
Reports To: Medical Director, CEO
Job Summary:
The Physician is primarily responsible for providing quality care to assigned clients of the Health Centers both in the inpatient and outpatient setting, conducting physical examinations; making diagnoses and prescribing medical and rehabilitative treatment. He|she participates in call coverage, quality assurance activities and staff meetings.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
Education and Licensing Requirements
Meet and maintain all criteria for Physician Credentialing, including the following:
Completion of a M.D. or D.O. degree from an U.S. accredited medical school, school of osteopathy medicine, or FMG with ECFMG or Fifth pathway certification.
Board Certified or Eligible for Board Certification in Family Practice, Internal Medicine or Pediatrics.
Current, valid and unsuspended State of California medical licensure.
Current CPR certification required
Will consider new graduates
Preferred:
At least 1-2 years experience working with underserved, low-income persons or homeless persons preferred.
A strong commitment to serve medically underserved families.
Salary is dependent on experience, but minimum is $185k plus loan forgiveness possible.
