Job Description

Family Medicine Physician needed in San Rafael, California to manage the quality health care services provided to patients in the community. Join a group that offers excellent care that is appropriate to the ambulatory care setting. As directed by the Medical Director, the Physician will perform necessary medical diagnostic tasks and patient care services related to Family Medicine to achieve clinic goals and objectives.

Located just across the Golden Gate Bridge from San Francisco and nearby to outdoor adventures like China Camp State Park, San Rafael has much to offer in terms of arts, culture, and quality of life. Continue heading north and you will be in world-famous wine country, with the beautiful California coast just a short drive west.

Details:

  • Full-time, permanent position
  • Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm
  • Administer services as a Primary Care, Urgent Care, and Extended Access Provider
  • Provide and manage direct patient care including physical examinations, evaluations, assessments, diagnoses, and treatments
  • Prescribe pharmaceuticals, other medications, and treatment regimens
  • Refer patients to specialists and to relevant patient care components
  • Supervise, lead, advise, and train clinical professionals, PA's/FNP's and/or students
  • Average 20 patients per day
  • EMR: NextGen

Qualifications

  • Board Certified in Family Medicine or Board Eligible with Certification within one year
  • Active California medical license
  • Prior experience working in community health or at a FQHC is a plus
  • Current DEA certificate
  • Current CPR certification
  • Must maintain CME as required for certification renewals
  • Bilingual English/Spanish highly preferred
