Job Description

The focus of Primary Care Physician is to serve as a provider and leader in an acute care clinic environment, ensuring that all students have access to high quality healthcare that will allow them to lead healthy lives and reach their academic potential.

Details:

  • Full-time, permanent position
  • Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm
  • Average caseload of 15-20 patients per day
  • Possibility to serve as Medical Director
  • No insurance billing
  • Only work 10 months per year, with pay and benefits year round
  • Supervise advanced practitioners
  • Treat minor medical and surgical conditions
  • Screen and treat patients for sexually-transmitted infections
  • Educate patients on safe sex practices as well as gender and sexual identity issues
  • Interpret x-rays and address basic orthopedic issues
  • Diagnose and treat many common illnesses, especially psychiatric and sports related ailments
  • EMR: PyraMed

Qualifications

  • Board Certified
  • CPR and AED certification
  • Valid California medical license
  • Degree from an accredited medical school
  • Clinic experience treating depression and anxiety is preferred
  • Completion of residency program in: gynecology, pediatrics, preventive, family, internal, or emergency medicine
