The CAH designation is designed to reduce the financial vulnerability of rural hospitals and improve access to healthcare by keeping essential services in rural communities. This is accomplished through cost-based Medicare reimbursement.

Qualifications:

• BE/BC in Family Medicine
• Obtained or eligible to CA state license
• Openness to supervising up to 3 mid-levels
• CAH experience preferred
• Patient load approximately 18-22 per day
• Comfortable performing rounds, outpatient, ER coverage when necessary

Compensation:

• Salary: DOE (competitive)
• Loan Repayment: Up to $120,000 in 3 years
