Job Description

Last Update: 3/22/20
Texoma Medical Center is recruiting a faculty position for its Family Medicine Residency Program. This is a three-year (36 month) postgraduate program in transition to the ACGME which opened in 2015. The program includes twenty-four residents. Both DO and MD faculty attending administer the program curriculum. The program has affiliations with the University of North Texas Health Sciences Center - Texas College of Osteopathic Medicine and Texas OPTI to provide hands-on training for our residents.

The family medicine core faculty assists in ensuring program compliance with the policies and regulations of the hospital and regulatory agencies through supervision of the residents during clinical activity. The position will include a 60%/40% split between residency responsibilities and clinical time. Responsibilities will include clinical instruction; assisting in the coordination of didactic activities for the program; and completion of administrative and planning tasks as required by the Program Director.

Texoma Medical Center is a 288-bed regional medical center with a staff of over 200 physicians. TMC’s main campus is located in Denison, Texas, approximately one hour north of the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex. The hospital offers major specialty services, including open heart surgery and neurosurgery. Advanced resources, such as certified trauma care support TMC's role as a regional specialty center. Since 1965, TMC has provided the kind of sophisticated, experienced care that was once available only in major metropolitan areas. Its proximity to the Dallas/Ft. Worth Metroplex allows Denison to offer access to every urban amenity, while retaining the unhurried atmosphere of a smaller community.
