Commute from anywhere in the US...

Position is for a small critical access hospital in Watford City, ND.
Need a physician there every Wednesday through Sunday 24 hr per day.
The physician provides ER and Hospital services only. No clinic, no OB.
The schedule is to provide the coverage from 6am to 8pm. At 8pm there’s a midlevel provider who provides first-line ER coverage from 8pm to 6am, so the physician can go to bed. The physician is still backing up the midlevel so would have to go in for anything major. However, for the most part, they can rest overnight. So, the total hours are 120 (Wed 8am to Mon 8am), but they only really typically are in the ER about 12 hrs per day or 60hrs. So, about half the time they are resting but getting paid.

The volume is about 15 patients in the ER over 24 hours. The hospital volume is small 2-4 patients. We get some trauma so need to have some experience with ER work, or be willing to get some training from us.

We have a midlevel that provides an urgent care clinic each day from 8am to 6pm. This helps keep the ER volume lower.

Independent contractors get $100/hour, plus liability insurance, plus airfare, rental car, meals. We have an apartment that the physician stays in while working.

For those wanting to be full-time employees the pay is $85/hour plus full benefits.

Looking for a physician who can provider this schedule of Wed-Sun every-other-week. That’s 26 shifts per year.
If fully employed and did the schedule every other week, make salary of just over $265,000. This is based on a base pay of $85 per hour plus benefits. If independent contractor, 312,000 per year on the same schedule. That's based on $100 per hour.
312K and only working 10 days per month. That’s essentially 4 months of work per year and 8 months off. A half-time position would be half the salary.
Live anywhere in the US and fly in and out of Williston.
