Family Practice Physician - Remote and Clinic-Based Options

OPEN POSITION:
Physician - Family Practice


SCHEDULE:
- Full-Time
- Monday through Friday
- 8:00am to 5:00pm
- No Nights or Weekends
- Some Flexibility Offered


COMPENSATION:
- Base Salary + Productivity Bonus Model
- $180,000 to $190,000 Annual Base Salary
- $75 per Patient, after 16 patients per day
- Student Loan Forgiveness
- Malpractice Insurance
- Health/Dental/Vision Insurance
- $1,500 Annual CME Allowance + 3 Days PTO
- 11 Days PTO in Year 1, increases with tenure
- 403b w/ 6% Employer Match


LOCATION:
- practice located in Lancaster, California
- physician may work on-site, remotely (telemedicine from home), or a hybrid model


COMPANY PROFILE:
This community health center opened in 2011 and currently employs 20+ physicians across a variety of specialties - pediatrics, ob/gyn, infectious disease, orthopedics, behavioral health, podiatry, and pain management, as well as full-scope primary care. They operate 4 clinic locations in the greater Lancaster area, with a robust support staff of nurse practitioners, physician assistants, and other clinical and administrative team members.


POSITION DESCRIPTION:
The new physician will provide comprehensive medical services for patients of all ages. The physician will meet, assess, and diagnose patients in the clinic and/or via telemedicine appointments.

Physicians see 16 to 24 patients per day, with the support of a dedicated clinical assistant.

Specific duties of the role include, but are not limited to:

- perform evaluation and treatment of patients in an outpatient setting and/or via telemedicine
- assess medical needs and develop a care plan and preventive health maintenance
- assess acute needs and chronic conditions
- review and sign off on laboratory and radiology results
- ensure there is patient follow-up when necessary
- initiate and follow through on specialist referrals
- serve as a supervisor for mid-level providers
- participate in care team meetings, provider meetings, and all-staff meetings

The practice uses the Epic EHR.

On-call duties are minimal / infrequent and consist of phone triage only.


REQUIREMENTS:
- California medical license
- DEA
- Board Certified, Family Medicine
- no experience required; recent graduates are welcome to apply
