Full time core faculty, Director of Primary Care for Internal Medicine Residency Program
  • Teaching rounds between 11:45 am – 12:45 pm, M-W-F, 4 months/year.
  • Core Curriculum Lectures 1 per month Curriculum development and implementation, including such topics as
  • Primary Care
  • Preventive medicine
  • Managed care
  • Legal aspects, risk management
  • Quality assurance
  • Pain management
  • Adolescent medicine
  • Women’s Health
  • Men’s Health
  • Evidence Based Medicine
  • High Value Care Series from ACP
Interviewing, Resident applicant selection
Resident evaluation including Clinical Competency Committee, Mini-CEX, chart reviews

Medical Clinic
  • Precept 4 days per week (1PM-5PM)
  • Supervise other preceptors
  • Facilitate efficient functioning
  • Coordinate Performance Improvement projects by residents using their panel of Clinic patients and ensure the completion of at least one project per Academic year
  • Develop a pool of per diem preceptors
Educational Modules- Hopkins PEAC and Caring with Compassion
  • Supervise and monitor the use of educational modules
  • Choose modules to use in program
  • Review results of PGY-1 OSCE’s and use them for teaching and resident performance improvement
  • Educational Modules- Hopkins PEAC and Caring with Compassion
  • Supervise and monitor the use of educational modules
  • Choose modules to use in program
  • Review results of PGY-1 OSCE’s and use them for teaching and resident performance improvement
Resident mentoring and remediation
  • Mentor 4 residents, of whom 1 or 2 will be on remediation
Assist Program Director and Associate PD as needed
  • Development and implementation of Milestones and Other curricula
  • Others as needed
Oversee educational experience in outpatient settings
  • Core curriculum development in the Ambulatory settings
  • Site visits to office practices used for rotations
  • Regular faculty development for Clinic and Office preceptors
Faculty advisor for research and QI projects in the ambulatory setting
