The University of Nevada, Reno School of Medicine is recruiting for a full-time primary care physicians in the Department of Family and Community Medicine. This is a full time, salaried position with excellent benefits. Rank and salary will be dependent on experience. (Assistant/Associate/Professor)

Responsibilities include direct patient care in the clinical setting with all aspects of family medicine. Preference is for candidates to have experience with low risk obstetrical care and /or care of the patient in a rural setting. In addition we will be operating Telemedicine between Elko, Reno and surrounding rural areas. Experience in Telemedicine is preferred. Teaching will be required and will include supervision of medical students and 2nd and 3rd year residents in both inpatient and outpatients settings. The percent of time devoted to clinical care, teaching, and mentoring of trainees will be negotiated with the Department Chair. Other responsibilities include, ability to work cooperatively and collegially within a diverse environment, with demonstrated experience mentoring women, minorities, students with disabilities, and other under-represented groups, as well as ability to adhere to policies and procedures of the University. Experience in resident and/or program operations is highly desirable and clinician will be asked to participate in scholarly work, research and publishing, related to his/her clinical and/or teaching activities. The incumbent will also participate in the on-call schedule for the hospital inpatient service.

Requirements:
• MD/DO and successful completion of an approved family medicine residency training program.
• Demonstrated experience in the teaching of students and clinical staff.
• Ability to obtain a Medical License in the State of Nevada.
• BC/BE in Family Medicine.
• Recent family medicine clinical practice experience, including outpatient clinic, inpatient ward service and preferably obstetrics
