This Family Physician with OB residency opportunity is an employed position. The way we work hospital-owned physician practices is to treat you as the provider as the owner. We negotiate a salary based upon MGMA figures, which is paid to the physician monthly. At the end of the year, the physician receives 100% of the profits of the practice – as the provider would as if they owned the practice. We do not charge a fee for running the practices. As far as we know, we are the only hospital that operates this way. You as the provider will also receive full benefits including paid malpractice, benefits package, relocation, CME allowance. As a resident that desires to make an early commitment, we will pay you a monthly stipend to help with expenses through the duration of training.
