About the position

The UTMB Department of Family Medicine located in Galveston, TX is seeking a Family
Medicine physician with OB with an interest is supervision and training residents. Interested
candidates will provide primary health care to patients including OB in the Family Medicine
Clinics and will provide teaching and supervision of Family Medicine residents. This candidate
may also share on-call responsibilities, including evening and weekend hours, precept medical
students and cover other clinical services as needed. This position will have the capacity to
support the critical strategic initiative, in collaboration with the Health System, to provide
access for UTMB employees; as well as Family Medicine patients and to fulfill UTMB's clinical
contracts. The ideal candidate must minimally possess an MD/DO from an accredited school,
be Board Certified by the ABFM and be DPS eligible. This is a unique opportunity to join one
of the most respected and established Family Medicine Academic Faculty Departments in the
