100% Sports Medicine with DI Coverage in an Upstate NY College Town

Join a growing sports medicine department with NCAA Division I coverage and an established primary care sports medicine fellowship. Established medical group is seeking to add an experienced sports medicine physician to their sports medicine department as well as an Associate Program Director for the Primary Care Sports Medicine Fellowship.

This is a full time position that is open to board-certified physicians who have obtained a CAQ in Sports Medicine. Prior academic faculty and leadership experience is preferred along with a desire to teach. Strong skills in diagnostic and procedural ultrasound are essential. The candidate will also be involved in the Concussion Center managing sport related concussions.

Sports Medicine group is part of the state of the art comprehensive orthopedic center that includes the sports performance academy, physical therapy, chiropractic, rheumatology, and surgical orthopedic subspecialties all under one roof. This allows for a collaborative approach to treating our athletes with easy communication across all departments.

This position offers ample and diverse coverage opportunities including NCAA Division I with Binghamton University, NCAA Division III with Broome Community College, 9 area high schools, and a variety of mass participation events throughout the year from road races and rugby tournaments to the Dick’s Sporting Goods Open on the PGA Champions Tour.

Affiliated Hospital is located in Binghamton, NY, a university town in beautiful upstate, NY. Only a few miles outside of town the region has a rural feel, while also being only 3 hours from New York City and Philadelphia, 3.5 hours from Buffalo, NY, and roughly 5 hours to Boston, Pittsburgh, Washington D.C., and Toronto.

We offer a competitive base salary, sign on/quality bonus, loan forgiveness, relocation bonus, excellent CME & PTO, and opportunities for teaching and research.
