The Department of Family Medicine at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center is recruiting for an experienced family physician who is fellowship-trained with a certificate of added qualifications (CAQ) in geriatrics. As a geriatrician at Ohio State, a co-appointment in the division of General Internal Medicine and Geriatrics will allow for collaborative work in geriatrics across the two service lines, which include ambulatory geriatrics, skilled, post-acute, long-term care/assisted living facilities, inpatient geriatric consults, and specialty clinics in wound care, polypharmacy, and cognitive assessment. Teaching is done at these service sites with medical students, family medicine residents, internal medicine residents, and geriatric fellows. Additionally, Ohio State has geriatrics trained faculty in the medical departments of Emergency Medicine, Medical Oncology and Orthopedics, and the university departments of Social Work and Geriatrics and Gerontology.

Qualifications:

  • Board-certified in Family Medicine with CAQ in Geriatrics
  • Eligible for State of Ohio medical license
  • Qualify for an academic appointment at the assistant or associate professor level – academic rank and salary will be commensurate with previous training and experience
