An independent community-based academic medical center and health system in southwest Connecticut are adding an Endocrinologist to join an established and busy team. The ideal candidate will be patient-centered with excellent communication skills and a passion for providing compassionate, top-quality patient care. Cohesive practice with a commitment to a good work-life balance


About this Opportunity

  • The ideal candidate is either fellowship trained in obesity medicine or interested in working 1-2 weeks per month in hospital.
  • The hospital is licensed for 305 beds and certified as a Level II Trauma Center
  • Team of 7 Endocrinologists
  • Hospital call shared 1:8
  • Clinically diverse practice; will see all kinds of cases
  • 2 hybrid endocrinologists rotate 2 weeks through the hospital
  • 2 hybrid endocrinologists cover the Medical Weight Loss Clinic
  • Certified Diabetes Program in place, including a nutritionist
  • Schedule is Monday through Friday, no patients after 5 pm
  • Teach Residents and Med Students 1x every 3 months
  • 20 patients per day
