NES Health seeks a Full-Time Emergency Medicine Physician to join our practice at Michael E. DeBakey VA Medical Center located in Houston, Texas.

About the Hospital

  • 473 Bed Veteran’s Affairs Hospital
  • EPIC EMR
Coverage includes: 
  • Radiology during the day and telerad at night 
  • Interventional Radiology  
  • Psychiatry  
  • Anesthesiology  
  • Ultrasound  
  • Hospitalist 
  • ENT 
  • Cardiology 
  • Neurology  
  • ICU (9 Critical Care, 9 MICU, and 15 SICU beds)
  • Teaching Hospital 

About the Program and Hours

  • 30 Bed ED (16 main beds, 8 hallway beds, 6 fast track beds)
  • 48,000 Annual ED visits
  • 25% admission rate from the ED
  • NES Health only staffs weekday nights, weekends (days and nights), and holidays (days and nights)
  • 12-hours Physician shifts (nights, weekends, and holidays)
  • 8-hour APP shifts (nights, weekends, and holidays in the Fast Track)

Qualifications

  • Any Active State license in the state or ability to attain unrestricted state license
  • Candidate Must be BE/BC in EM or IM
  • BLS, and ACLS
  • IM Fellows must have had 1 month ED rotation in residency
