Our client is seeking Emergency Medicine Physicians for a 120-bed community teaching hospital. Moderate acuity with approximately 15% admission rate, providing for 65% of total hospital admissions. Newly renovated to include a 20-bed main ED treatment area with 5 fast track beds and 3 physician-in-triage rooms.

Community patient pathology includes cardiac, geriatric, medical, orthopedic, and pediatric patients with minimal trauma. 4-year AOA approved emergency medicine residency program affiliated with University of Maryland with 12 EM residents enrolled. Wellsoft ED Information System with electronic patient tracking, nursing documentation and lab/ imaging reporting. Wellsoft EMR physician documentation module integrated with Dragon 10 voice recognition software.

Dedicated, well-trained and experienced emergency nurses and techs; EMS Medical Command Center and on-site medical director; helipad on premises.
Full time Vascular Access Techs (VAT) who draw all labs and insert IV cathlons 24/7; ED ultrasound available with bedside ultrasound unit in ED with portable ultrasound machine in department.

8-hour shifts plus 10 hour Physician in Triage coverage daily. 5 shifts per day; double coverage with an additional dedicated triage shift.
