CompHealth is currently assisting a hospital in North Carolina with their search for a neurocritical care intensivist. They need assistance with a growing service line in a brand-new neurology tower. Your schedule will be a 7 on and 7 off block from 7 am to 7 pm with professional discretion. There will also be phone-only night call when on service. Stroke call is covered by inpatient neurology. You will see 6 to 8 neurocritical care patients per day on average and work with 2 neurohospitalists, 2 neurointerventionalists, 6 neurosurgeons, 1 neurointensivist, and 6 neurohospitalist APPs. They welcome candidates that have completed an internal medicine residency and a critical care medicine fellowship with neurocritical care training. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills and vision, focus on quality patient-centric care, collaborative, have excellent communication skills, and be team focused.
