Stable group >20 years, rare for MD to leave except to retire.
About the Job:
Locally-owned and managed Emergency Medicine group is looking for BE/BC Emergency Medicine provider to cover 3-5 shifts per month with the potential of becoming a full-time position with shareholder and voting privileges. Compensation is productivity based and top 25% nationwide, 2.4 average pp/h. Independent contractor model with malpractice covered by the group with tail.
About the ER:
50 ER Beds, admission rate ~21%, 83,000 patient visits / year, Level 2 trauma center with Enloe flight program, 5 ED doctors working at peak of day, 9 ten hour shifts of doctor coverage/ day, no midlevel liability, multiple ultrasound machines, limited transfers out except for pediatric ICU, full and responsive call sheet for all specialties including intensivists/ ENT/ urology/ plastic surgery.
Qualifications:
Ideal candidate is BE/BC Emergency medicine, possesses California State License, has community hospital experience, willingness to work nights highly desired. Fast paced environment, so efficiency a must. Does not qualify for visa sponsorship.
