Carondelet Holy Cross Hospital, located in Nogales, Arizona, is part of the Carondelet Health Network which is a member of the national system, Ascension Health. The facility includes a 31-bed long term care facility, 25 acute care beds, and 10 bassinets. Key services provided at the hospital include general medical/surgical services, 24-hour emergency care, rehabilitation, mammography, ultrasound, birthing services, hospice, and home health. Also offered are advanced technologies such as teleradiology and lithotripsy programs. Physicians practicing at the hospital are members of the Carondelet Medical Group which include family medicine, internal medicine, gynecology, pediatrics, and podiatry. Since the hospital is right on the border with Mexico, specific bi-national programs are provided such as participating in a bi-national clinical rotation and sponsoring a border health and diabetes program

  • Volume of ED – 16,000
  • Procedures are required
  • 2+ years of EM experience, some leadership experience in critical access hospital preferred
  • EM, IM or FP trained, board eligible with certification expected or board-certified; will accept EM trained residents
  • ACLS, ATLS, PALS required
  • Excellent independent contractor compensation with liability/malpractice coverage provided
