Director of Emergency Department/Hospitalist opportunity set in a family oriented community about 50 miles southeast of St. Louis. Population of 15,000 with a service area of 50,000. The hospital is a 25 bed critical access facility with a full service emergency department and has estalbished primary care physician offices in three small nearby communities.
The hospital's Radiology Department boasts state-of-the-art technology typically found in larger institutions. In addition to Mammorgraphy and plain film x-rays, the department has 32 slice CT scanner, 4D Ultrasound technology, and a nuclear medicine scanner as well as a PET Scanner, Stationary, full-time MRI services are available.
This opportunity is with a group that provides both Emergency services and Hospitalists coverage. The ED volume is 8,500. The Hospitalist coverage averages 12 patients per day.
This is a Medical Directors position with responsibility for supervising both functions but would primarily be seeing patients in the ED.
