There are multiple positions so bring a colleague with you! Hospital is looking for BC/BE FM/IM/EM to provide Emergency Room coverage. Either work one month on and one month off-flying in and out of Alaska, or choose a standard schedule living full-time in Alaska. Willingness to do low risk, non surgical OB is a plus, but not required. Shifts are 13 hours. ER volume is 25 in a 24 hour period. Open to new grads and experienced physicians. This is a brand new hospital.

Schedule is 5 ten-hour shifts per week. Some weeks will be ER and some will be hospitalist. One month on and one month off. Pay is 154/hour. Total pay for the year will be 275K.

Hospital serves a predominantly Native and Caucasian population. Great community and 15 surrounding villages. Must have an interest in Native culture, etc.

This position is for an adventuresome physician, who wants to be in the rural, bush Alaska to experience full-spectrum medicine and experience a Native population. the community offers gold mining, dog sledding, hiking, fishing, hunting.

You can only get here by plane and it' s at least 500 miles from Anchorage. It is a small, rural, bush, Native Alaska community with a lot to offer if you like the outdoors.
