Do you know of an MD or DO with ER experience regardless of specialty seeking to work in a Low Volume ER - Locum's and /or a full-time position available
Reference: MBPPI
Location: Central Alabama. Only 45 minutes from Birmingham, 35 minutes from Tuscaloosa and 1.5 hours from Montgomery.
Our ideal situation would be for a candidate(s) to work a schedule of Friday/Saturday/Sunday night. We will have two weekends open a month starting in June. We will also consider candidates seeking a full-time position!
This ER Dept. has three observations beds and no trauma. Shifts run 7p-7a and only 12 hr. shifts are allowed.
Per the medical director - "There is an urgent care area within the ER that is open from 7a- 11p. I have never seen more than 5 after midnight . There is often a resident working and if they are an upper level they are here all night. That helps greatly, however they still need to be seen by the Doc and signed off. I've never seen more than 25 and that's very rare. Average census is more like 20 over the 12 hrs".
Requirements: Must be BC/BE, have ER experience, have a current & unrestricted AL License, DEA is not required, Clean Databank and No current significant malpractice history.
