TeamHealth has an excellent leadership opportunity for a full-time Physician to lead our Toxicology Emergency Department team at Tampa General Hospital's poison control center in Tampa, Florida. The ideal candidate will be board certified in emergency medicine and fellowship trained in Toxicology. The medical director will work at the Poison Control Center as well as assist at Tampa General Hospital, a more than 1,000 bed hospital and level 1 trauma center. This Emergency and Trauma Center includes six trauma rooms, one dedicated to pediatric patients, 66 treatment rooms and two operating rooms. The center sees 83,000 high acuity adult patients annually and features 24-hour trauma, stroke, and cardiac alert teams. The is also a Chest Pain Observation program for low risk cardiac patients at this location in addition to 91 hours of physician coverage daily and 29.5 hours of advanced practice clinician coverage daily. A variety of shifts are available including 7, 8, 9, 10, 11 and 12-hour shifts.
