Facility Information

Byrd Regional Hospital is a 60-bed, level III trauma center with emergency, diagnostics, cardiac care, inpatient and outpatient care, medical and surgical care, and women's services. Emergency services are supported by Acadian Ambulance, a 24-hour helicopter evacuation and transportation service. Byrd Regional Hospital is accredited by The Joint Commission and The Joint Commission Lab Accreditation.



Community Description

Leesville has a small-town personality, but offers conveniences of larger towns because of the presence of Fort Polk. Nearby are a national forest, freshwater lakes, and the Toledo Bend Reservoir. Cost of living in Leesville is 10% lower than the national average. The town offers lots of amenities and a great school system. Leesville is only 3.5 hours northeast of Houston and a little over 2 hours northwest of Lafayette.
