JOB DETAILS:

• Practice Type: Hospital based ER
• Trauma Level: Rural hospital - no trauma designation - locum must be confident in running ED codes, and competent in all required procedures
  
• Shift hours: 12hr in-house (7a-7p, 7p - 7a); Need help with day shifts the most
• Schedule: 10-20 shifts/month
• Specific Dates Open: 9/1/23 - 11/30/23 - likely ongoing

• Patient population/caseload: Single coverage Emergency Department w/ midlevel coverage
• Annual Volume: 15K-20K per year
• Patient Load: Department sees 55 patients per 24 period - Avg. doc sees 1.7 PPH on days and 1.2 PPH on nights
• Midlevel coverage 24/7 on Mon, Wed, Fri; 11a-11p Tues, Thurs
• Procedures required: Intubation, lac repairs, central lines, chest tubes, fracture reductions, lumbar puncture, splinting, cardioversion, surgical airway (emergent), vaginal delivery (emergent), foreign body removal.
• Staffing: Will work with NPs and/or PAs. Not expected to sign their charts. Will sign out to other physicians.
• Anesthesia is 30 minutes out
