Momentum Healthcare Staffing is seeking a full-time/permanent Emergency Medicine Physician in Caribou, ME. Locum opportunity with the opportunity to become a permanent employee Please see the details below to apply!

License: Maine
Certification: Board Certified/Board Eligible with a primary care board with ED experience.

Allopathic and osteopathic physicians will be considered equally

American born and trained physicians and foreign-born physicians who have completed a US residency and/or fellowship will be considered equally.

In-practice physicians, residents or fellows, and military-trained physicians will be considered equally

Facility Details:

Dates/ Schedule needed: three 12-hour shifts one week, and four the next. In addition to working a full-time schedule, Cary can offer a flexible staffing model, such as per diem, and part-time; working site visits are welcomed.

Salary: Negotiable based on experience.

Support J1 and H1b Visa candidates and have an Immigration Attorney to help with that.

Patient Population: The ED is a Level II trauma center, and sees a wide variety of cases, however, major trauma, cardiac, neurosurgery and other critical cases are transported to a tertiary care center.

Additional Information:

The ER physicians are employees of the hospital and are paid on an hourly basis, negotiable based on experience. The hospital will pay a portion of the health insurance for the physician and will pay the full amount of malpractice insurance. Additionally, the hospital will pay up to $600/year for professional licensing and subscriptions. The candidate will receive six weeks for vacation, CME, sick and holiday time to be used on an annual basis. The hospital will also provide CME of up to $2,500 per year and relocation assistance. Education loan repayment is paid in six-month increments and is typically spread out over the life of the initial agreement.

the Emergency Department boasts the highest Emergency Medicine volume of all four hospitals. The majority of our ER patients are elderly with cardiac and respiratory complaints comprising a good portion of our visits, along with the expected primary care and emergent care visits. Our largest patient transfers consist of psychiatric, trauma, neurosurgical, and emergency cardiac situations.
