Emergency Medicine (ER) Physician Secaucus, NJ 07094
We are looking for an Emergency Medicine Physician to join our group in Secaucus, NJ. We are seeking a BCBE Physician in Emergency medicine to collaborate with our hospital-based team, providing high quality care in our ER. We are flexible in our need and can accommodate physicians looking for full time, part time, and/or per diem employment.
The incoming physician will be required to evaluate patients who may need acute/critical care assistance within our newly renovated 17 bed ED. We are located one train stop away from Manhattan and near Meadowlands sporting and entertainment events and major highways.
Duties:
- Assist in providing healthcare services to traumatically/acutely injured, critically ill patients and emergencies
- Assesses patient health by interviewing patients; performing physical examinations; obtaining, updating, and studying medical histories
- Documentation of patient care services by charting in patient record clearly- appropriate documentation of medical history and progress in patients notes
- Interpretation of diagnostic test results
- Pediatric and adult ventilator management
- Handle catheterization and invasive ventilation
- Pharmacological and CPR management- according to the formulary protocol or upon patient specific orders
- Discussion of management with surgeons, consulting physicians, and healthcare professionals
- Handle prescription and update of therapeutic plans
- Protects patients and employees by adhering to infection-control policies and protocols
- Reviews and revises treatment and therapy plans as needed
- Ensuring plans are acted upon and specific diagnostic test carried on diligently
- Collecting information related to patient and integration in clinical plans
- Communication with patient’s relatives, care team, etc.
- Acute and chronic pain management
- Be the liaison with other medical specialties if required
- Organize and manage multiple priorities
Requirements:
- Adheres to Hospital policy and procedures
- Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending education workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, participating in professional societies
- Maintain membership in professional organizations and continued education
- Acts as a role model within and outside of the Company
- Demonstrate ability to function in collaboration with other health care professionals
- Ensure that all HIPAA requirements and regulations are being adhered to in all operations and properly monitored
- Unlimited access to Protected Health Information for the purpose of care, review and quality assurance audits
- Travel as needed for required assignments, training, and conferences
Qualifications:
- Medical degree from an accredited university (MD/DO)
- NJ State Medical license
- CDL and DEA License
- BC in Emergency medicine
- Certification in Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life support (ACLS) required
Schedule:
- Full time, Part time or per Diem
- 12-hr shifts, alternate weekends
- No Call!
Compensation (range):
- $200-$230 per hour
12-hour shifts, alternate weekends, no Call, and robust Benefit Plan!
