Optum is looking for a full-time Dermatologist to join our team in Pasadena. The clinicians we seek are those who practice medicine with a focus on patient care, not volume.
Just a 20 minute drive to downtown Los Angeles, Pasadena and its surrounding areas have much to offer in terms of education, recreational activities, and culinary diversity, without the typical hustle & bustle of a large metropolitan city. Choose to live in Arcadia, for example, and you'll find yourself both at the foot of the San Gabriel Mountains and inside the perimeter of a nationally renowned school district! Alternatively, just live where you work and take advantage of weeknight strolls through beautiful Colorado Boulevard or weekend drives to The Huntington Library and Botanical Gardens right next door, in San Marino.

Position Details
Flexible: work a 32-hour or 40-hour work week
The team: 1 other dermatologist, two NP/PA, a skin aesthetician, and a plastic surgeon
Full Scope Dermatology: 95% medical, 5% cosmetic
Patient mix: 50% adult, 50% senior patients
Clinic Hours: Monday-Friday 8am-5pm – we can accommodate a 4-day work week
Average of 20-25 patients and two office procedures per day
Blocked time in procedure rooms, well equipped for all office based procedures
Must be comfortable with Accutane/acne medication
Three exam rooms per provider as well as a dedicated MA and office space
Additional specialties at this location: Plastic Surgery, Aesthetician
Mohs surgeon one day per month
Occasional hospital consults may be required
Full benefits, paid time off, CME etc.
Requirements
Unrestricted CA State Medical License
Current CA DEA certificate required prior to start date
At least two years of experience
