Hiring a Board Certified or Board Eligible Dermatologist (MD) for a full-time faculty position in general dermatology for a top academic medical center. The Dermatologist (MD) will join a healthcare team in pursuit of high-quality patient and will be responsible for out-patient/in-patient dermatologic care, teaching residents and medical students. The Dermatologist (MD) will evaluate and treat benign and malignant disorders of the skin, hair, nails and adjacent mucous membranes.
Responsibilities:
- Evaluate and treat benign and malignant disorders of the skin, hair, nails and adjacent mucous membranes
- Diagnose and treat skin cancers, melanomas, moles, and other tumors of the skin
- Manage contact dermatitis and other inflammatory skin disorders
- Treat skin manifestations of systemic and infectious diseases
- Interpret skin biopsies
- Faculty appointment available
- Research involving clinical medicine or basic science is encouraged, but not required
- No OR time.
Education Requirements:
- Medical Degree or foreign equivalent and completion of a three-year ACGME-accredited dermatology residency training program
- Four-year post-graduate medical training
- Board Eligible/Board Certified in Dermatology
- Candidate must possess or be eligible for a New York State License
- Be eligible for DEA registration
- Be eligible for Medicare/Medicaid Enrollment
- Patient centered approach toward a positive patient experience
- Excellent communication skills
