Job Description

Last Update: 3/13/19
I represent the University of Tennessee Medical Center in Knoxville Tennessee and we are looking to add a Dermatologist in a new office on campus of the hospital.
This will be a predominantly outpatient opportunity with the occasional coverage for an emergency consult.
You will have the option to be employed or we will assist you in starting a private practice, depending on the individual candidate’s preference.
There will be a non-tenure track academic appointment with The University of Tennessee Graduate School of Medicine. Someone interested in some academic responsibility would be the best fit, as there will be some teaching involved with the position.
You will also be part of the development of the new Skin Cancer Center as well.
The position offers an excellent starting salary, full and expansive benefit package, and you would be affiliated with the most stable system in the region. Referrals abound from our large Primary Care and Specialty base of physicians throughout the city and suburbs.
The facility is a Magnet Hospital, and is one of just two hospitals in the state of Tennessee to be nationally ranked by the distinguished publication US News & World Report in its 23rd "America's Best Hospitals" report.....
We are ideally located in beautiful East Tennessee—at the foothills of the Great Smoky Mountains National Park—affording metropolitan conveniences coupled with rural charm.
Living and practicing in Knoxville, you will be part of a vibrant community that was previously voted the “Best Place to Live Among Mid-Sized Cities” and named in Forbes Magazine as one of the “Top 25 Best Places for Business and Careers;” in addition, Knoxville was recently voted the 8th “Best City for Affordable Living,” the 14th “Hottest City for Business Expansion and Relocation,” and the 17th “Best Place for Your Business and Career".
This rapidly-growing Southeastern metropolitan city is known for its quality of education, affordable cost of living and temperate climate, with a perfect mix of city amenities and congestion-free living. Easy drive to Nashville, Charlotte, Atlanta.
Some of what you can expect to find include: Cost of living that is 6.6% below the national average
• No state income tax
•Outdoor recreational activities such as boating, hiking, golfing, fishing, horseback riding, mountain biking
