Annashae is currently seeking a Critical Care Physician in Arizona. The services of Critical Care Physicians shall be provided in accordance with the policies of the facility where assigned. The Critical Care /Intensivist physicians’ care shall cover the range of Emergency services as would be provided in a state-of-the-art health care treatment facility and the standard of care shall be of a quality, meeting or, exceeding, currently recognized national standards as established by The American Board of Internal Medicine and/or American Board of Osteopathic Internal Medicine. Relevant professional societies including American Thoracic Society, American College of Chest Physicians, Society of Critical Care, or Emergency Physicians
Qualifications:
Critical Care Physician’s must have a minimum of two years’ current experience in this field and be a critical care board certified physician.
Duties:
Evaluation, Emergent Treatment and Management: Employment of the principles of critical care for life/limb threats, resuscitation and stabilization, triage, diagnosis, and disposition.

Physician will admit, work up, diagnose, use of Provider Performed Testing (PPT), and provide treatment or consultative services to patients in need of critical care.

Core privileges include the following high risk, high volume, problem prone procedures, which are commonly performed by the intensivist in the critically ill patient: arterial cannulation, percutaneous; central venous cannulation, all routes; pulmonary artery catheterization; temporary transvenous pacemaker placement; cardioversion/defibrillation; airway intubation; fiberoptic bronchoscopy, therapeutic; tube thoracostomy, diagnostic peritoneal lavage; temporary hemodialysis catheter placement; mechanical ventilation; maintenance of open airway; oral/nasal intubation; ventilator management, including experience with various modes; insertion and management of chest tubes; placement of arterial, central venous, and pulmonary artery balloon flotation catheters; calibration and operation of hemodynamic recording systems; and controlled hypothermia after cardiac arrest in selected patients.
Contracted physician (s) shall be present on time for any scheduled clinics as documented by physical presence in the clinic at the scheduled start time.

Evaluate, assess, and treat patients with pulmonary disease in the pulmonary clinic if needed. Patients can be seen in face-to-face encounters or through Video Connect (VVC).

Provide pulmonary consultative services for patients residing on the medical-surgical units.

Physician will respond to rapid responses and code stroke throughout the hospital according to the facility rapid response policy.

Physician will respond to Code blues throughout the hospital according to facility policies.

Physician will utilize Tele-ICU for consultation as needed in the evaluation and treatment of Intensive care patients.
