Intensivist | Locum Tenens Needed in Southern TX
~100 miles South of Corpus Christi
• September 30- On-going
• BE for 5 years post residency or BC in Critical Care or PCC. Cannot be Pulmonary BE/BC only.
• Successful completion of an ACGME or AOA accredited residency program in IM, FP, Cardiology, Pulmonology, Anesthesia, CT Surgery, and possibly other surgical specialties. Training is followed by a fellowship in Critical Care Medicine.
• BC or seeking certification in Critical Care Medicine
• Day shift MICU- 7a-4p
• Day shift Neuro Trauma ICU and CCU- 7a-4p
• Night shift MICU, Neuro Trauma ICU, and CCU- 4p-11p in house, 11p-7a on call. (Night shift covers all three units in house from 4p-11p, 11p-7a on call)
• 100% inpatient rounding
• 16 bed MICU, capacity level 90%, monthly admits 125
• 8 bed CCU, capacity level 70%, monthly admits 60
• 10 bed Neuro Trauma ICU, capacity level 90%, monthly admits 75
• Between 3-6 admissions per day/per shift
• In Winter months, all units are open (34 beds)
• In Summer months, only MICU and Neuro Trauma ICU units are open (26 beds)
• 8 bed Stroke unit with a 6 bed Intermediate/Stepdown unit
• 42 bed PCCU
• 32 bed Surgical unit
• EMR- Emailed Teresa, should have info soon
• 60 days to credential; expedited privileging
