I have a need for a Permanenet Staff Intensivist who is able to help with coverage starting ASAP in southern Alabama.
- Level I trauma center with over 2,000 trauma admissions/year
- Surgical/trauma intensive care unit (STICU) has 16-beds and admits over 700 patients/year
- Must be board certified/eligible surgeon at the assistant or associate professor level to join the faculty
- Must be fellowship trained in the surgical critical care
- The division has an ACGME approved surgical critical care fellowship. Candidates should have a keen interest in academic surgery in the areas of patient care, medical education, and trauma and critical care-related clinical and translational research
- Clinical responsibilities include development of clinical practice guidelines, process improvement, trauma call, and patient care. Teaching responsibilities with general surgery residents, critical care fellows and medical students is an integral part of the program
