Consider living on the Island of Hawaii (commonly called the "Big Island") with beautiful tropical vegetation, mild climate, and outdoor activities including surfing, swimming, boating, sailing, biking, or running all year round. Very welcoming, appreciative, and interesting multi-cultural patient population with low malpractice risk and costs.
New 640 CAT scanner with CTA capabilities and new state of the art angio suite. Practice is located in the hospital with most of the work being outpatient care along with inpatient and ER consultations. New state of the art cardiology suite with dedicated ultrasound unit and technician to be completed in mid to late 2017. Every third night call but very infrequent need to come in due to a hospitalist program and interventional cases being flown out.
Looking for a General Cardiologist, or an Invasive Non-Interventional Cardiologist willing to do mostly General Cardiology practice.
Hilo Medical Center has a 4 star rating on medicare's hospital compare website, which places it in the top 20% of hospitals nationwide, and has received awards for it's ICU and for having the lowest hospital acquired infection rate in the state and one of the lowest rates in the nation.
We are looking for a permanent candidate or a temporary candidate who would like have a "working interview" to explore what it would be like to live in our unique environment. Board certification or eligibility plus at least 48 inpatient admissions related to cardiology in the past 24 months required for hospital privileges. Excellent transthoracic and stress echo skills required.
