Comite Center for Precision Medicine & Health, a thriving medical practice has an exciting full-time opportunity for a forward-thinking physician to practice medicine in a private setting, in the heart of New York City.

Founded in 2005, the Center is a one-of-a-kind, personalized healthcare facility with a proactive, preventive approach that employs a broad range of biomarkers and advanced diagnostic technologies to detect, predict, and reverse disease and the body’s physiological aging - years, often decades - before symptoms occur.

The Center’s cutting edge model has resulted from the CEO’s vast experience in research, endocrinology and different fields of medicine. Each patient begins with a comprehensive analysis of multiple variables that influence and affect health, followed by an exclusive, personalized medical program to monitor and deliver lifelong vitality and performance to achieve a healthspan that lasts a lifespan.

The ideal candidate has a background in academic medicine, and a profound desire to lead the field of precision medicine in the private sector. The incumbent pays attention to detail, is highly organized, effectively multitasks in a demanding environment, takes initiative and can successfully develop and lead a talented clinical team. In addition, the incumbent will also have a background (or training) in clinical investigation.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and coordinate patient care efforts
  • As a prescribing physician, order appropriate tests, analyses, and diagnostic images to gain insight into their patient's health status as aligned with Comite’s established precision health protocols and principles
  • Analyze reports and findings of tests and examination to diagnose any conditions
  • Apply Comite Center's established precision health protocols and principles in developing/monitoring customized treatment plans, and effectively communicate these to the patients
  • Ensure Comite Center's standards of quality healthcare and privacy
  • Advises patients concerning diet, hygiene, and methods for prevention of disease
  • Consult with appropriate medical specialists when necessary and refer patients as needed
  • Deliver overall excellence of patient care and practice efficiency
  • Play a direct supervisory role for the clinical team, including leading clinical rounds, helping the team prepare for clinical encounters and oversee clinical recommendations being made to patients by all reporting clinicians
  • Oversee medical recordkeeping and patient communications
  • Maintain productive partnerships with the administrative team and external service providers
  • Maintain current knowledge of developments and studies relevant to the field of medicine

Research:

The Center’s second and key mission is to retrospectively analyze the clinical data being produced with our patients and publish on the efficacy of the Comite protocols and principles on human health and longevity. For this goal, the incumbent will

  • Ensure current CITI certification status at all times for self and the clinical team
  • Design and oversee clinical protocols to ensure standardized and repeatable data collection as well as adherence to these established protocols
  • In circumstances that require deviation from established protocols, make decisions to balance the clinical needs with minimizing the impact on the quality of data collected for research purposes
  • Communicate protocol deviations to the research team so that they are appropriately adjusted in the dataset during analysis
  • Oversee and train clinical staff in case of unapproved protocol deviations, and follow Center procedures to report these
  • Assist in oversight of data quality and integrity from time to time
  • Participate in ongoing research projects designed by other research team members at the Center
  • Communicate the importance and impact of the Center’s research to clinical and administrative staff, as well as patients, as necessary

Qualifications

  • Medical degree conferred by an accredited college or university
  • Training in internal medicine, endocrinology, or a related field is a plus
  • Valid and active medical license to practice in the state of New York
  • Board certification/eligibility
  • At least 5 years of demonstrated clinical experience in private practice or hospital setting
  • At least 2 years of clinical research/clinical investigation experience (or training/education in clinical research, like a PhD, Masters in Public Health, Masters of Science in Clinical Research, etc.) preferred
  • Consideration will be given to applicants with a fellowship
