We are seeking a board-certified heart failure trained cardiologist to serve as the Medical Director of the Advanced Heart Failure program in SE Michigan.

  • Lead a multidisciplinary heart failure program and support the launch of a LVAD program.
  • Responsible for program development and growth, quality initiatives, as well as training and education.
  • Oversee the inpatient heart failure unit, outpatient heart failure clinic, work in close partnership with cardiac surgery to open a surgical LVAD program without cardiac transplantation.
  • Clinical responsibilities will include inpatient rounding, outpatient clinic, and invasive procedures if desired.
  • The position includes protected time for administrative work, teaching and research.
  • The candidate must possess strong clinical skills and have experience with mechanical circulatory support devices, as well as a track record of clinical research, commitment to teaching, and strong desire to build a program.
