Metro Tennessee Cardiology Opportunity (Invasive-Non Interventional or Non-Invasive) at an Academic Medical Center.

The University of Tennessee Medical Center in Knoxville, TN has an outstanding opportunity to join a large, well established single specialty group of 23 cardiologists in a hospital-owned employed practice. Call is shared, and our faculty admit and round at a single hospital. The position is based in the Heart Lung Vascular Institute, one of the medical center’s six Centers of Excellence on the University of Tennessee Medical Center campus. We are a 700 bed level 1 Tertiary Care center and the only academic medical center in the region.

This is a thriving and expanding hospital with state-of-the-art facilities, including ECMO, structural heart program, and a dedicated heart failure service and clinic.

The position is for a general Invasive/ Non-Interventional or non-invasive cardiologist. We employ a large primary care and subspecialty base, so referrals abound, and you will be busy quickly. This is a strong and stable group of physicians who have achieved and maintained a team atmosphere in their transition from a private practice group to a faculty Cardiovascular Division and desire a physician who is wishes to be part of a team. The starting salary is competitive with private practice positions with full benefits, malpractice, relocation assistance, and production-based incentive. You will receive a faculty appointment at the University of Tennessee Graduate School of Medicine, and participate in medical student, resident, and cardiology fellow education as desired. We have an ACGME approved Cardiovascular Disease Fellowship and Interventional Fellowship.
