Interventional Cardiology opening in IL Located in Olympia Fields 30m to Chicago Full-time; permanent *3 years practice experience in academics required* Seeking a Board Certified/Board Eligible Cardiology Invasive Interventional physician to join our busy practice in Olympia Fields, Illinois. WHAT WE NEED: Ideal candidate will have a strong focus on clinical excellence and patient satisfaction. Candidate will display exceptional interpersonal skills and desire to develop strong ties with the community and existing medical staff. Physician will need to work collaboratively to coordinate and deliver the highest quality of patient care. REQUIREMENTS: 2-5 years of Experience in clinical area and must be able to supervise all clinical experiences for residents and fellows. -Supervising trainees (residents and fellows) in an ACGME0 accredited training institution. -Clinical practice -Presentations, didactics -Some research experience and at least one publication in a peer reviewed medical journal -faculty development participation, leadership development WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT: Three days per week clinic schedule: 8:00 a.m. 5:00 p.m. Four days per week rounding at Olympia Fields Hospital: 8:00 a.m. 5:00 p.m. Rounding on patients Teaching Fellows Rounding & Teaching is expected by locums Call after rounding and clinic days are completed Act as back-up call to cardio fellows Approximately 7 cardio fellows & 1 Interventional Fellow Average outpatient volume: 8 10 patients while in clinic Average inpatient volume: 20 25 patients when rounding Common Diagnoses: Abnormalities of Heart Rhythm Atrial Fibrillation Cardiac Arrhythmias Chest Pain Heart Failure Procedures: Cardiac angioplasty and stent placement, including drug eluting stents Rotational Artherectomy Carotid Stenting Stemi ECHO
