Cardiology – Interventional
Seeking a Board Eligible/Board Certified Interventional Cardiologist to join a faculty practice in southern suburbs of Chicago.
- Three days per week clinic schedule: 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
- Four days per week rounding at the Hospital: 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
- Rounding on patients
- Teaching Fellows
- Rounding & Teaching is expected by locums
- Call after rounding and clinic days are completed
- Act as back-up call to cardio fellows
- Approximately 7 cardio fellows & 1 Interventional Fellow
- Average outpatient volume: 8 – 10 patients while in clinic
- Average inpatient volume: 20 – 25 patients when rounding
- Procedures:
- Cardiac angioplasty and stent placement, including drug eluting stents
- Rotational Artherectomy
- Carotid Stenting
- Stemi
- ECHO
Faculty – Two to Five of Experience in clinical area, sought and must be able to supervise all clinical experiences for residents and fellows
- Supervising trainees (residents or fellows) in an ACGME-accredited training institution
- Clinical practice
- Presentations, didactics
- Some research experience and at least one publication in a peer reviewed medical journal
- Faculty development participation, +/- leadership development
