Cardiology – Interventional


Seeking a Board Eligible/Board Certified Interventional Cardiologist to join a faculty practice in southern suburbs of Chicago.


  • Three days per week clinic schedule: 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
  • Four days per week rounding at the Hospital: 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
    • Rounding on patients
    • Teaching Fellows
  • Rounding & Teaching is expected by locums
  • Call after rounding and clinic days are completed
    • Act as back-up call to cardio fellows
  • Approximately 7 cardio fellows & 1 Interventional Fellow
  • Average outpatient volume: 8 – 10 patients while in clinic
  • Average inpatient volume: 20 – 25 patients when rounding

  • Procedures:
    • Cardiac angioplasty and stent placement, including drug eluting stents
    • Rotational Artherectomy
    • Carotid Stenting
    • Stemi
    • ECHO

Faculty – Two to Five of Experience in clinical area, sought and must be able to supervise all clinical experiences for residents and fellows

  1. Supervising trainees (residents or fellows) in an ACGME-accredited training institution
  2. Clinical practice
  3. Presentations, didactics
  4. Some research experience and at least one publication in a peer reviewed medical journal
  5. Faculty development participation, +/- leadership development
