Job Description

Last Update: 7/17/22
Seeking an Electrophysiologist to provide comprehensive electrophysiology services (excluding lead extraction and watchman due to lack of CT Surgery Backup) in northern New Mexico.

The cardiology practice includes three interventionalists (one able to do venoplasty), two invasive cardiologists, one clinic-based physician, one physician’s assistant and three nurse practitioners. Two of the cardiologists on staff place low-voltage devices. The institution has had full time electrophysiology services in the past with the last full year recording 259 device placements and 114 electrophysiology cases. Anesthesia support is available for ablations. The hospital has ICAL accredited echocardiogram and nuclear programs. Expected clinic volumes are 16 patients a day and general cardiology call is expected at least one weekend a month.

The institution is committed to quality, the community, and finding a good cultural fit. You can have a fulfilling electrophysiology practice without the commute or competition. Start spending your free time recreating on the river, in the desert, or in the mountains. Successful candidates will be able to provide references that can speak to their proficiency in the lab in the later stages of the hiring process.
