MDs to supervise unless they’re on call, or we’re extremely short on CRNAs and have extra MDs.
As a reminder, the staffing model is 2 MD/7 CRNA. MD is 1:2 call, off post call every other day. CRNAs are split with 2 doing GI under surgeon supervision, 4 under supervision at the main hospital, and one floating. General/OB/Endo

General Anesthesia locums tenens needs in Southwester New York. Large 250-bed Medical Center servicing a community of 35,000 seeks occasional locums for 1 to 2 week stints for vacation relief coverage. Locums work is mostly Mon-Fri with weeknight and weekend call. Staffing model of 3 Physician Anesthesiologists and 3 CRNAs. CRNA supervision may be required. Perioperative services consist of 6 operating rooms performing close to 4,000 cases annually including over 600 Obstetric deliveries. Case mix includes urology, orthopedics, OB-GYN, general surgery and pediatrics. Candidates need at least 1-2 weeks of coverage with ongoing availability. Ideal candidates would reside in the region and work full or part time locum tenens and be flexible with reoccurring availability. Returning locums are given priority to open needs. This is a major medical center with a high standard of care and all medical specialties represented. Travel reimbursement provided.
