Anesthesiologist opportunity in North Carolina

BC Required

Schedule: 7a-3p, Monday -Friday for the OR hours (scheduled cases)

3p September 21st - 3p October 5th

3p October 19th - 3p November 2nd

Weeknight call (3pm) and Weekend call (Friday 3p-Monday7a)

Details:

  • Both Inpatient and Outpatient
  • 8 – 10 hour work day
  • Night Call 3-4 week + 6-8 hour/weekend
    • Call is nightly during the week (after scheduled cases are complete) and on the weekends
  • Call schedule 1: Nightly when scheduled
  • Call shared with 1 MD and 3 CRNA’s
  • Must be able to start surgery within 30 minutes of call back
  • Approx. # of patients/day/provider: 10 - 20
  • # of Surgical Cases per month: 250
  • ICU / Critical Care Duties
  • 10 Intubation and Cardioversions
  • Required to serve back up in ER (Called for difficult Intubations & Spinals)
  • LT MDA will respond to codes
  • LT MDA will be expected to serve as back up in the ER
  • Procedures: General Anesthesia/Blocks/Regional Anesthesia, Labor Epidurals shared with CRNAs, Emergency Airway Management, Intubations, Invasive Lines, Cardioversions, Consults, & Epidurals for OB Services
  • BLS, ACLS and PALS/APLS Required
  • EMR = EPIC (HealthSpan)
