Brownwood Regional Medical Center has 194 licensed beds. In 2004, renovations were completed in the Surgery Suites, an advanced ICU was added and new Respiratory Therapy Department. In 2006, the hospital added an off-site Rehab & Fitness Zone. Most recently, The Wound Healing & Hyperbaric Medicine Center was opened in 2007, and an Express Admissions Unit was added to the same year.

The majority of Anesthesia services shall be performed in the area of emergent and non-emergent surgical anesthesia. A

minority of anesthesia service may be performed on functions that directly support anesthesia patient care. These anesthesia

direct support services include but are not limited to: preoperative clinic, pain management, sedation analgesia management,

infection control, hospital education, process improvement, nurse anesthesia training, and research.
