Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation Physician

Position Description

We are seeking a Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Physician to join our existing team of Physicians, Physician Assistants, and Physical Therapists, to work in our Phoenix clinic. Our patient population consists of all ages with primarily musculoskeletal, orthopedic injuries.

We are interested in expanding our current Provider Group to include someone that can care for our patient population that suffers from non-surgical chronic pain. Would you like to help us make a difference?

Areas of Responsibility

The essential functions of the job include, but are not limited to, the following areas:

  • Complete full physical exam, obtain complete medical history and records including identifying data, chief complaints, illnesses, previous medical or family histories, or psycho-social characteristics;
  • Interpret and integrate data to determine diagnosis and therapeutic plan;
  • Collaborate with other Providers in managing acute and log-term medical needs of patient;
  • Full range of standard interventional pain procedures;
  • Examines patients to determine discomfort level and cause of pain;
  • Determines abnormal conditions by administering or ordering diagnostic tests, such as x-rays, electrocardiograms, and laboratory studies;
  • Diagnoses and treats diseases, disorders and injuries based on patient’s medical history and results of physical assessment to determine extent of pain, help diagnose condition, or manage pain;
  • Instructs and counsels patients regarding procedures performed; always promoting wellness and health maintenance;
  • Maintains a positive attitude, is compassionate and has great communication and problem-solving skills;
  • Provides relief from acute or chronic pain using medications, nerve blocks, electrical stimulation, or other therapies;
  • Coordinates additional care such as physical therapy, psychological therapy, and rehabilitation programs to offer patients a comprehensive treatment plan with a multidisciplinary approach to the treatment of their pain;
  • Performs other duties consistent with the above responsibilities

This full-time position has Monday-Friday office hours, and no weekends. The position also offers a competitive compensation and benefits package.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Arizona licensure
  • Board Certified in PM&R
  • Prolotherapy trained/experienced a plus
  • Strong computer and EMR skills
