A 400+ bed acute care medical center provides services in most every medical specialty with state-of-the-art support. Private Anesthesia group is made up of all Physicians and run 10 to 11 ORs daily plus outpatient surgery. They have a dedicated Cardiac-Anesthesia team. A locums is mostly assigned to general Anesthesia cases including Ortho, ENT, and GYN. Cases a locums doctor will NOT see include: Cardiac, OB, trauma, nor sick peds.). There is an opportunity (optional) for major vascular, neuro and ASA 3 or 4 cases, via a proctoring program. This hospital features a level 2 ER and a 20+ bed ICU. EMR utilized is Cerner and this well managed group provides thorough training and orientation although high acuity experience is requested. There is a second comparable size hospital in the community; children’s hospital and major trauma center are less than one hour away. No call duties required, no weekend work or call. Some overtime is anticipated.
