North Shore University Hospital in NY, a 731-bed, tertiary care teaching hospital, has been approved for a liver transplant program and the anesthesia practice which services this hospital is seeking a fellowship trained well qualified individual to work with an existing team of liver transplant trained anesthesiologists to serve as the Director of the liver transplant anesthesia program. The environment is supportive and functions as a collaborative team to meet the needs of the patients. A small residency program provides a mix of self-performed and medically directed anesthesia care to provide leading edge care in all anesthesia specialties.
Ideal candidate must meet the specific criteria to be considered for the Director position.
Case mix will include a mix transplant and general anesthesia cases.
General and OB Call will be prorated for the Transplant Anesthesiologist since they will be taking liver call.
