California Anesthesiologist Locums Opening

• Coverage needed Oct - Dec and likely ongoing
  • Oct 8 – 12 need 1
  • Oct 22 week to include weekend Oct 27 – 28
  • Oct 29 – Nov 2 need 1
  • Nov 5 – 9 (need 2)
  • Nov 19 – 23 need 3; to include Holiday and Night Nov 24 - 26
  • Dec 17 – 21 need 3
  • Dec 24 – 28 need 2
• Various shift options, shift types and pay structures available - see notes and attachments( average 40+ hrs per week)
• Shifts are rotated to spread out the workload
• Must be willing to work 7 day block, Mon-Sun, and work any shift type within the block.
• Monday - Friday, 7a-3p
• Call after 3p (1st and back up calls involved)
• 24 hr weekend shifts
• Required:
  • BC or True BE in ANES (if BE must be within 2 years of residency)
  • BLS, ACLS required
  • Must be CA licensed
• 90% adult, 10% PEDS, 5% Trauma
• 2-5 Surgical cases per day
• (70% general, 10% OB, 10% Neuro, 5% Thoracic, 5% complex vascular and ortho
• 10 Anesthesiologists in group. 10 OR's: PA's NP's, RN's and Techs
• Procedures required below:
  • General Anesthesia (adult, PEDS) (trauma preferred)
  • Spinal
  • Epidural
  • Regional ANES surgery
  • Obstetrical cases
  • Neurosurgical Cases (head / spine)
  • Thoracic cases (except open heart)
  • Complex Vascular/ Ortho cases (except open heart)
  • Pain management techniques
  • Post op Epidural
  • Post op Extremity blocks
  • Vent Management
  • Eval and manage of acute volume/ BP issues
  • Central / Arterial line placement
