Supervisory Physician Powell, TN (15 min north of Knoxville)

We are looking for a physician to join our medical group part time, to provided supervision of the PA/NP on staff at our office in Powell, TN. This is a supervisory position with minimal time commitment and a flexible schedule, working 1-2 days per month. The physician can work remote, offsite for chart reviews and most supervision but may need to be on site 1-2 days per month for on-site supervision.

The NP/PA’s examine patients and perform joint and trigger point injections in our physical medicine office.

Duties:

  • Supervisory role of the PA/NP- chart reviews
  • Availability for consultation and direction of the PA/NP
  • Can work remote, off site for chart reviews and most supervision
  • Provides and manages direct patient care occasionally, including physical examinations, evaluations, assessments, diagnoses, and bone marrow (will provide training) procedures for a specified patient population
  • Directs, coordinates, and oversees patient care
  • Provides supervision, mentoring, training, and development to clinical staff

Requirements:

  • BCBE in Pain Management, Family medicine, or Internal medicine but will consider GP as well
  • License to Practice Medicine in TN
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community
  • Ability to interact with staff in a team environment

Schedule:

  • 1-2 days per month

Compensation:

  • $2,000-$2,250 per month
  • Additional bonus structure
