Description
Join an employed anesthesia practice with University of Pittsburgh Physicians (UPP) in a 400-bed tertiary care hospital in Altoona, part of a financially strong and thriving world-class health system. UPP Department of Anesthesiology – Altoona is currently comprised of 12 anesthesiologists and 29 CRNAs with support from Pittsburgh. The hospital has 12 ORs, 4 procedure room endoscopy suite, 2 C-section ORs on OB unit, 4 cath labs, and imaging dept, 1 dedicated Cysto Room, and 1 lithotripsy room. The Ambulatory Surgery Center on the hospital campus has 6 ORs.About the Position:
- Annual surgical caseload is approximately 20,000
- Includes cardiac surgery, neurosurgery, ENT, urology, thoracic surgery, orthopedic surgery, plastic surgery, Level 2 trauma center, ophthalmology, vascular surgery and general surgery
- New cardiac procedures include Watchman and TAVR
- Annual trauma volume is 1800 patients
- Annual deliveries 1500
- J1 and H1 Visa Accepted

Qualifications
- Board Certified or Eligible in Anesthesiology
- Fellowship Trained in Cardiac Anesthesiology
- BLS, ACLS Certified
- Must qualify for a medical license in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
